This is kind of a rant, but seriously, this trend of screen sizes getting bigger and bigger is starting to get annoying. Seriously, a 5 inch phone used to be considered a tablet (Dell Streak), then a Phablet with the Galaxy Note and such, but now that's just kind of becoming the norm with all these new Android phones and such coming out. I enjoyed when phones were just 3.5 inches and 4.3 inches were considered large, but now 4.3 inches is small or medium... Also some 6 inch phones were announced. Seriously, that's fucking excessive, it's like having a tablet. And now that the whole curved screen thing is releasing, more bigger phones will be released.

Also the issue is not just affecting phones. LG just unveiled a 105 inch TV. What the fuck.

Yeah dude I heard that acer is coming out with a new monitor that has 1280×720 resolution!!!! that's almost double the size of my current gaming extreme CRT 800x600

It's 4K UHD, so why not double or even quadruple the size? As for the phones, they are all touch screen now, so a bigger screen makes sense because it is easier to interact with a bigger screen via touch. Also I love how the UHD TV has 4K HD, but I bet some people would still watch some 480p shows on it. Also good luck streaming that quality over ISPs that aren't Google, because government imposed monopolies.

The problem with phones that big is when you're holding it in your hand your thumb literally can not reach to interact with everything on the screen.

I think my phone is perfect. Don't know the dimensions and such, but it's an LG Spectrum 2, I believe.

I think it's 4.7 inches. A little bigger than I'd like, although it hasn't reached the fucking huge mark yet.

I don't even think I want to know what it'd be like having something bigger than mine... I can see a little bigger, but it's pretty monstrous already.

Yeah. I honestly don't know how people have the pocket space for phones bigger than that.

Well, I probably could considering my pants are huge. I'm pretty sure they're several sizes larger than what I normally should be.

    *Screen ratio
Although phones are getting ridiculously high in resolution because of the Retina display fad Apple started.

Isn't resolution affected by ratio though?

Don't forget about retina display guys, because apparently that matters. (Especially when my screen protector is ultra fucked up)

I do like the high resolution displays, although Retina is just a bullshit buzzword Apple made up to get people to think it's the greatest thing ever.

Yes, but ratio isn't affected by resolution.

I'd rather have better hardware than more pixels I can't even see anyday.

Honestly I never really have a problem with anything hardware spec wise on my BlackBerry Z10 every being too slow, although I don't use it for any games or things of the sort. The things I'd like to see improved are faster network technology, a better camera, and better battery life.

    Higher resolution means slower phones
